Nathan Bowser believes discovering your voice is about far more than learning to sing. Music creates a unique opportunity to connect more deeply with yourself, and through that, with the people around you. As students learn to trust their voices, they often discover greater confidence, freedom of expression, and a stronger sense of who they are. Nathan’s goal is to help every student develop the skills and confidence to use their voice in ways that feel authentic and meaningful to them.

Nathan holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Utah Valley University, where he received five years of intensive vocal training. As an active performer, guitarist, songwriter, producer, and educator, he brings real-world experience into every lesson. His work has included professional musical theatre, live concerts, studio recording, and songwriting, and he currently performs with several of Utah’s leading theatre companies, including CenterPoint Theatre and Hale Centre Theatre. Whether on stage, in the studio, or collaborating with local artists on original music, Nathan remains passionate about the craft of storytelling through music.

One of the most important lessons Nathan learned as a performer is that the strongest performances aren’t about the performer—they’re about serving the story. That perspective shapes his teaching as well. Every student arrives with different goals, whether preparing for auditions, writing original music, or simply becoming more confident in their own voice. Nathan believes meaningful progress begins with understanding why those goals matter and creating a thoughtful plan to reach them.

More than anything, Nathan considers himself a listener. He listens not only for technical habits, but for the questions each student’s voice is asking. Years of performing and teaching have taught him to recognize subtle patterns that often go unnoticed, and he enjoys helping students discover answers that were already within reach. Rather than asking students to become someone else, Nathan helps them recognize the strengths already present in their own voices and build from there.

As both a vocalist and guitarist, Nathan enjoys helping students become complete musicians. Healthy technique is only the beginning; his lessons also develop musicianship, storytelling, creativity, and the practical skills needed to communicate something meaningful through music. Whether students aspire to perform, record, write songs, or simply sing with greater confidence, Nathan hopes they leave each lesson better equipped to express themselves honestly and authentically.

Outside the studio, Nathan enjoys collaborating with local artists to write and produce original music and is always looking for opportunities to tell honest, compelling stories—whether through music, theatre, film, or simply good old-fashioned one-on-one conversations with good people.
