Kennady Pulsipher
Teens · Adults · Musical Theater/Classical/Pop
Kennady discovered her love for singing as a child while watching My Fair Lady, inspired by Eliza Doolittle’s transformation and voice. For years, her go-to karaoke song was “I Could Have Danced All Night.” While her tastes have since matured—now favoring ABBA’s “Super Trouper”—My Fair Lady will always hold a special place in her heart.
Kennady has performed extensively in musical theater, choral, and solo settings. From ages 13 to 18, she trained and performed with the Hale Academy in Orem, debuting as Stench the Goon in Sleeping Beauty (2016) and concluding her time there as Mayzie La Bird in Seussical (2020). In 2020, she earned First Place in the NATS Vocal Competition in both Classical Voice and Musical Theater. Following high school, she performed as Ella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Murray Amphitheater. Under the direction of Keri Hughes, Kennady developed a deeper appreciation for artistic risk-taking and growth—an experience that also coincided with meeting her husband, Ty.
After marrying in 2023, Kennady moved to Logan, Utah, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Voice from Utah State University. During her time there, she performed with the USU Chamber Choir and Opera Theatre, received Talent Award Scholarships, and studied under Cindy Dewey, Head of the Music Department. She had the honor of performing “For Good” from Wicked at the 2025 graduation ceremony. Later that year, she presented her senior recital, Loved, a deeply personal program featuring 16 pieces that reflected her vocal journey, including selections from Carousel, Aida, and Waitress.
Kennady credits much of her development to her longtime voice teacher of over 10 years, Michelle Sundwall, who instilled in her the belief that her voice is a gift meant to be shared. In 2024, Kennady began teaching private voice lessons, embracing her passion for mentorship. She is dedicated to creating a safe, encouraging environment where students can explore their voices with confidence, creativity, and joy. Known for her playful and supportive approach, she proudly considers herself her students’ “#1 fan.”
Outside of music, Kennady finds joy in life’s simple moments—reading on a sunny porch swing, baking sourdough (especially jalapeño cheddar), and spending time with her husband and their dog, Moqui. A lifelong fan of Lake Powell, she continues to hope each year for rising water levels. Her ideal Friday night includes chocolate popcorn and a classic Disney movie.
